1. Keep your hands (and feet) to yourself.
2. Treat the instruments gently.
3. Listen and follow directions the first time they are given.
4. Always do your best.
5. Have fun!
Most students understand that if you follow rules 1 thru 4, then rule 5 happens quite easily.
However, if a student decides to break these rules, there is a set of consequences:
1st infraction: Verbal warning. Example: "Please keep your hands to yourself." or "I expect you to participate in class, please."
2nd infraction: Student is directed to the "Reflection Table" where he/she will fill out a "Reflection Report." This is a simple problem-solving form similar to the one used in our office, but specific to our music class. Students are expected to take home their "Reflection Report" to their parents.
3rd infraction: Student is referred to our principal, Mr. Hurley.
